The large Fort Ridgely monument is described elsewhere in this work. On the brow of the hill near the Fort Ridgely cemetery are the Marsh, Muller and Loyal Chippewa monuments, while in the cemetery near by are many gravestones marking the last resting place of many an heroic character.
