MINNEAPOLIS BREVITIES.


- The members of the local branch of the Salvation army held a special meeting at their headquarters last evening in celebration of the home-coming of Col. Evans and Ensign Ivings, of the local organization.

- The marriage of Miss Alice S. Tully to Thomas S. Newgord was celebrated last evening at the home of the bridegroom's parents, 2001 Washington avenue south.

- Elsie Weaver was arrested by Inspector Hicks yesterday afternoon and charged with grand larceny. It is alleged that she relieved A. J. Smith, a traveling man from New York, of $65 Wednesday evening.

The jury spent the early hours of last evening considering the case, and retired at 10 o'clock without reporting or making any statement indicating as to the prospects of a verdict.
