What Hon. Edmund Rice Says. Years ago people were contented to warm themselves by a fireplace; now they must not only have furnaces, but they must have the heat regulated. This is what Congressman Rice says of the Johnson Apparatus: "St. Paul, March 24, 1886. -- Gentleman: In reply to yours of the 22d inst., I have to say that the Electric Valves placed in my office are working satisfactorily, and so are the Electric Dampers in my dwelling. I may yet decide to have a Thermostat placed in each room in my house and a Damper in each pipe leading thereto, and most probably shall. Edmund Rice." |
