Merrymakers Enjoy a Reception at the Clarendon.


The parlors of the Clarendon were filled with merry children all yesterday afternoon, the occasion being the celebration of Miss May Foley's fourteenth birthday. Miss May made an elegant little hostess, and entertained her guests right queenly among the beautiful flowers and cut plants which adorned the rooms. She was the recipient of a large number of appropriate presents. The reception lasted from 3 until 8 p. m. The party included the children of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Keogh, Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Kavanagh, Mr. and Mrs. Uri Lamphrey, Marshal and Mrs. W. M. Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Donnelly.

At 8 o'clock Mr. and Mrs. Foley gave a reception to adults, which lasted until nearly midnight, and music and dancing was the order. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Stockdale, Miss Annie Streng, of Pittsburg; the Misses Rogers, Miss Carrie Ebert, of Jamestown; Mr. and Mrs. P. M. O'Connor, P. H. Rasche and lady, the Misses Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Col. J. H. McAllister, W. E. and John Hefferman, Mrs. Hefferman, Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers, James Forrestal and Miss Mary Egan.
