POLICE THINK DEMARS IS STEALING HORSES
The detective that gets Louis Demars will make a reputation for himself. Demars is a person whom the detectives say they want badly. If they can only get hold of him, they remark further, they may be able to put a stop to the horse-thieving that has been going on in Minneapolis and the surrounding country during the past two months.
Sometimes when a man has had a horse stolen he is able to give a description of the thief through having seen him as he drove away with his rig. Of several descriptions that have been given lately not a single one has differed from that of Demars.
Scarcely a day passes that the police do not receive a report of a stolen horse. Every case of horse stealing is laid at the door of Louis Demars. The detectives say they are certain he is the man who is doing the work and there is a long sweat-box session in store for him when he is caught.
Demars has been arrested in Minneapolis a number of times, it is said. He is one of the most
elusive, and, at the same time, one of the busiest persons that the detectives know of just
at present. Every detective is watching for him.
