SEVERELY BURNED BY EXPLODING ALCOHOL

E. G. Terwilliger, 2600 Garfield avenue, suffered severe burns recently, from which he is slowly recovering. He was taking a thermal bath in a cabinet heated by an alcohol lamp, the fuel of which became exhausted before the treatment was completed. He asked his wife to fill the lamp, which she did under protest, as the flame was not yet fully extinguished. An explosion followed, and Mr. Terwilliger sustained several painful burns, one foot being seriously injured.
