REPORTS GROWTH OF INDUSTRIES


Factory Inspectors Figures Show Great Increase In Forty [Years].


The advance sheets of the factory inspector's report for 1902 have been received by the state commissioner of labor, and are regarded by that official as representative of phenomenal and healthy industrial growth. The following extracts show the growth of many industries during the periods between the years 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1902:

The report shows the total number of Sunday workers in the state to be 5,374, or 6.29 per cent of all the week workers.
