Fort Snelling Military Band to Give Two Concerts Today.
Two very popular programmes are to be given at Lake Como this afternoon by the Fort Snelling band. The programmes have been specially prepared by Bandmaster Graves, and they include all the latest novelties. The band is playing exceptionally well just now, having just returned from the encampments of the Third infantry, with the Minnesota and Wisconsin state troops. The band has also been materially strengthened since its last appearance in this city. It ranks now among the leading military organizations of the kind in the country. Supt. Smith will provide extra car service for the occasion. The afternoon concert will begin at 2 and the evening concert at 8 o'clock. Following are the programmes:
Afternoon - March, "Coochi Coochi," Wiegand; overture, "Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna," Suppe; waltz, "Symposia," Bendix; Medley overture, "Before the Footlights," Bendix; galop, "Vivat," Zikoff; march, "Mamie, Come Kiss Your Honey Boy," Reinhard; overture, "Orpheus," Offenbach; song, "Sunshine Above," Caryl; medley overture, "Around the Metropolis," Beyer; selection, "La Fraviata," Verdi.
Evening - March, "Emerald," Lausendeau; overture, "Fra Diavolo," Auber; song, "Only One Girl in the World for Me" (vocal chorus), air, Witt; Gypsy serenade, Lenz; selection, "Il Trovatore," Verdi; march, "Vaudeville," Reinhard; overture, "On Broadway," Beyer; song, "Won't You Come to My Tea Party," Fitz; intermezzo, Mascagni; selection, "Black Hussar," Millocker.
