TWO PERSONS HURT AS FORD TIPS OVER.

MRS. THEO. HAUGAN SUSTAINS BROKEN WRIST AND MRS. RUTH IS INJURED.

When on the home stretch of a very enjoyable automobile tour Sunday afternoon the automobile of Sigvart Ruth overturned and Mrs. Ruth suffered internal injuries which have kept her in bed since, and Mrs. Theodore Haugan has a broken bone in her left wrist.

The accident occured just after the party had entered Ellendale from the east. At the foot of the grade at the Elling Ellingson residence corner was some loose sand. Mr. Ruth drove a little too rapidly down the incline and in making the turn the car was lost control of in the sand and turned partly over. It happened so quickly that Mr. Ruth does not know just how it happened. He applied the brakes and brought the car to almost a standstill before it careened, otherwise the accident might have been much worse.

Theodore Haugan says he was pinned beneath the steering wheel, but aside from a little soreness was little the worse for wear the next day.

Mrs. Haugan's injury was attended to by an Ellendale physician and she remained at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nicolai Ohnstal till Monday.

Mr. Ruth's car needed a new windshield and straightening of the right fender to make it as good as ever.

The accident served to mar a trip that had been greatly enjoyed by a number of people from east and southeast of town. In the party were Andrew Sampson and family, Sigvart Ruth and wife and daughter, Cecelia, and Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Haugan, Peter Kofstad and family, Carl Brekke and several young people, W. E. Verplank and family, Edwin Verplank and family, Oscar Verplank and family, Richard Haugan, his mother, brother and sisters and Hans Myrvold and party.

The tourists visited Owatonna, Faribault and Northfield and covered about one hundred and forty miles.
