THIRTY THOUSAND NICKELS. Anna J. Hopkins was awarded $1,500 damages yesterday against the street railway company. The suit has been on trial for several days. She was injured last fall while riding to her home in South Minneapolis. The car caught fire from the dynamo burning out, and in the rush of the passengers to escape from the car she fell over some wood matting which the conductor had left in front of the door. Her arm and side were badly injured. |
