Qualey Disturbed Them.

Burglars attempted to rob the grocery store of P. G. Hanson at 206 Second avenue south Saturday night. There were three of them, and while one of the trio made his way into the cellar through a rear window the others stood guard at the corner. A box was pulled over the window in order to keep curious people from investigating matters too closely. But Patrolman Pat Qualey put in an appearance and put a stop to the sport. The men on guard saw the officer and gave a warning whistle to the man in the cellar. He crawled out and the three miscreants took to their heels. Qualey started after them, but they had too big a start, and he could do nothing but take a parting shot at the fleeing burglars.
