COME BACK, SPOKANE Elmer Foster Likely to Don a Minneapolis Uniform Again. Elmer Foster will again wear a Minneapolis uniform and caper around in the outfield for the edification and admiration of Flour City base ball "fans." At least the prospects for this consummation most devoutly to be wished are of the rosiest. "Spokane" and President Hy Hach had a long consultation this afternoon just prior to the latter's departure for Chicago. Neither would say what the result of it was, though it was admittedly for the purpose of getting Foster back in the center garden. THE JOURNAL has the best of reasons for thinking, however, that the deal will go through in case Mr. Hach finds Spalding and Anson favorable to a release from Chicago. A final settlement is not likely to be made until Mr. Hach's return from the East some weeks hence. |
