p. 1102

George J. Pregler, one of the prosperous young farmers of this county, was born on his father's farm in section 24, in Beaver Falls township, Oct. 14, 1893. His father, John Pregler, came to America from Germany with his father, Andrew Pregler, in 1865, and a homestead of 120 acres was secured in section 24, Beaver Falls township. In 1891 Andrew Pregler left the farm and moved to Morton, where he lived until his death. John Pregler then took charge of the farm and still works upon it. May 10, 1892, John Pregler married Katherine Goblirsch, who was born Dec. 25, 1874. Mr. and Mrs. John Pregler have six children: George J.; Annie, now Mrs. Kiern Tracy, of Acequia, Idaho; Bertha, Rosa and Frank. The family are all members of the Catholic church of Morton. The father and George J. operate the farm together and raise O. I. C. hogs and cattle and horses.
